Northern Beaches

The villages of Duck, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, and Nags Head make up the island referred to as the Northern Beaches. See where the Wright Brothers took to the air back in 1903 at the Wright Brothers National Memorial, found only a short distance from our Outer Banks resort. Make your way to Jockey’s Ridge State Park in Nags Head to check out all you can do on sand dunes

Roanoke Island

Roanoke Island is made up of two towns: Wanchese and Manteo. For those visiting during the summer, no visit to this region is complete without watching The Lost Colony outdoor drama, which explores the history and mystery around the Roanoke colony that just seemed to disappear. Wander gardens of stunning flora and statues by visiting the Elizabethan Gardens.

Hatteras Island

Located south of us is Hatteras Island, home to villages like Rodanthe, Buxton, Frisco, and Avon. This area is also home to two lighthouses; the Bodie Island and Cape Hatteras lighthouses, and the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. If you have any history buffs in the group, be sure to stop by the Chicamacomico US Life-saving Station, which was once home to the most decorated life-saving crews.
