Visit the Outer Banks dunes of Jockey’s Ridge in Nags Head and watch the beautiful sunset. This is a wonderful place for your children to run and play without any worries in the soft sand. Putt- Putt and Go-Karts
Visit one of the numerous locations on the Outer Banks for a family fun Putt-Putt challenge. Putt-Putt establishments are open well into the night when the sun has set and the air is cooler. If you’re more of a speed racer, visit the Full Throttle Speedway for Go- Kart racing. Full Throttle Speedway is adjoined to the Mutiny Bay Adventure Golf in Kill Devil Hills.

Ghost crab hunting is a free and fun family activity. Grab some flashlights and explore the Outer Banks beach at night. Not only is the beach a different magical world at after dark but also the crabs come out of hiding. See who can spot the most ghost crabs!
