Local Love | Outer Banks Weddings
This week we want to celebrate local love with Caitlyn and Dustin! Caitlyn and Dustin were born and raised on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Their celebration was almost completely comprised of local attendees. We think it is pretty great that these two were able to tie the knot and celebrate in their hometown, with all their loved ones nearby and easily able to attend both their ceremony and reception! Their ceremony was beautiful, with Caitlyn looking like she walked straight out of a fairytale- her dress must have been made for her!
Best Friends, Forever.
Before Caitlyn and Dustin were newlyweds, they became best friends!
“I got married because I don’t see myself with anyone else. Dustin changed my life. When I met him, it was just something about him…He’s there for me when I don’t have anywhere to turn to. And it’s the same with him. We are each other’s rock. We are a team against the world and I wouldn’t pick anyone else.”
If that’s not true love, we don’t know what is. 🙂Â
Caitlyn’s wedding advice: “5 tips for planning a wedding….first, pick a venue before anything. Second, colors and a theme. Everything else falls into place after that. Thirdly, stay true to your budget and don’t listen to everyone else. They’re not the ones getting married. Fourth, don’t cut corners budget wise on things that make a party. Pictures, food, and music. Pictures being the most important. Everything else, you can download Pinterest and find everything at Walmart and thrift stores. And fifth, take time for yourself in the process. Don’t forget, it’s your day!”

Caitlyn and Dustin to put together their perfect wedding menu to please the palates of all their guests! They chose to have Garden Salad, Hawaiian Style Pork with grilled Pineapple, Sliced Top Round in Au Jus, Green Beans with Bacon, Creamy Mashed Potatoes, White Cheddar Mac & Cheese, and Fresh Baked Rolls.
Outer Banks Wedding Ceremony
Caitlyn and Dustin’s wedding ceremony was beautiful! They were able to say “I Do” alongside the ocean they grew up swimming in with their loved ones surrounding and supporting them.
