Dare County’s America 250 Celebrations is a chance to showcase the region’s contributions to the country’s story. Things kick off with the Kelly’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Nags Head. Parade participants are encouraged to decorate their float to celebrate America’s birthday.

- The First Flight Society’s Celebration of Wilbur Wright’s Birthday at Jennette Pier in Nags Head in mid-April
- The Americana Farmers Market at Dowdy Park in Nags Head at the beginning of July
- Fourth of July celebrations at Island Farm in Manteo and fireworks in Nags Head
One of the most anticipated events is the Dare A250 Faire. Liberty, Legacy, and Lift Off in the Land of the Beginnings will be held in mid-April at the Wright Brothers National Memorial. While the event is free, you will need to download tickets.
