The Outer Banks has become a haven for great acoustic music.
The OBX Beachside Bistro features great live music on the oceanfront!
There’s something about an ocean view, a good breeze, a cold beer and a great musician playing some favorites on a beautiful summer evening. The Outer Banks has always been a destination for talented traveling musicians going back to the days when casinos were still around and the music scene has evolved over the years. As of late, there has been an explosion of acoustic music for a variety of reasons. First, there is something about being at the beach that makes for a great acoustic music environment – the sand, flip-flops, drinks, sun, friends lends itself to hearing some great, laid back tunes that mixes just so perfectly with the setting. Some other reasons would be the high number of bars and clubs to play at as well as the increased appetite for good acoustic music in general. We have great venues that feature acoustic music on the Outer Banks and you can find good information on a website called Outer Banks Live Music that has a list of where and when music is happening.
If you are staying here with us, or even if you aren’t and want to hear great acoustic music on the Outer Banks right on the oceanfront, we would highly recommend you come to the Beachside Bistro, where we have great acoustic music Thursday – Saturday. Not to strum our own guitar, but we have one of the best settings for acoustic music, because we are right on the oceanfront – in fact one of the only truly oceanfront restaurants on the Outer Banks.
Here at the Sea Ranch Resort, we are central to the action and like to keep our guests informed as to what is happening and we have a list of places that we often recommend to people for acoustic music on the Outer Banks:
- Fish Heads Bar and Grill
- Trio
- Outer Banks Brewing Station
- Roadside Bar and Grill
- Poor Richard’s
- The Bluepoint
- Rooster’s Southern Kitchen
